What does it take to survive your first 1000 days as a start-up business?

From statistics, we know that the first 1000 days are the most challenging for small businesses. Over the next few months, we will be sharing the stories of those that made it past this important milestone and how they did it. We hope that by letting these entrepreneurs tell us what they went through and how they survived it, we will help more local businesses pass this important milestone.

We recently put out a call for South African businesses that have just passed 1000 days in  operation. The response has been positive with a range of different small business owners getting in touch with us.

In October and November, we will be bringing you three business success stories from startups that have reached this important milestone. We will be sharing how they developed their business ideas, how they managed start-up costs, how their businesses grew, what challenges they faced and which triumphs they celebrated.

Look out for interviews, videos and more on this blog, as well as on Twitter, Facebook , and LinkedIn. If you know of budding or aspiring entrepreneurs who have just started a business or who are finding themselves in those early days, feel free to share this article with them to spur them on.
